David Bongiorno has a passion for Africa ignited in his teens. Seizing the opportunity to live and serve in East Africa, he spent six years living in Tanzania, learning in great detail the array of skills necessary to work with local people to successfully bring a sustainable water project to fruition. Returning to the United States with his wife Andrea, David received his MBA from Missouri State University and began to work alongside his dad, John Bongiorno, President of WorldServe International. David now directs WorldServe’s overseas portfolio of projects – in more than 10 countries and the Navajo Nation – and facilitates key partnerships.
The Bongiorno family lives in Erie, Pennsylvania, where David also oversees WorldServe’s accounting and reporting functions. He also spends time at WorldServe’s home base in Springfield, Missouri. He and Andrea are active in their home church – RealLife Assembly. Of his many accomplishments he is most proud of his three children, Rosaria, Luca, and Hugo.
