This time last week, our team had just wrapped up another incredible ARC Launch event – this time at Bayside Community Church in Parrish, Florida! We had the honor of spending two days with close to 100 leaders who were eager to learn more about the ARC Launch process. From couples with a dream in their heart to plant a church, to pastors of existing churches looking to gain a better understanding of the ARC Launch principles, our launch coaches, pastors, and staff equipped these leaders with the nuts and bolts of church planting.
One of the things we love most about these events is hearing from some of our launch coaches and pastors. These leaders have been through the ARC Launch process before, and get to bring their unique perspective to different topics as they share. Whether we’re talking about marketing, or outreach, or fundraising – hearing from someone who has already walked through these phases of the launch process, and navigated them well, offers insight and encouragement to those gearing up to begin their church planting journey.
This month, we were joined by an awesome group of pastors from the central Florida area. JJ Vasquez, pastor of Journey Church in Orlando, joined us to share on Marketing and Branding. JJ did an awesome job of building the Journey Church brand and marketing to his community leading up to launch day. It was great to hear from him on what strategies worked best, what he would have done differently, and how to build a marketing plan that carries you through your launch season and beyond.
Randy Bezet, Jimmy Rollins, and Aaron Burke joined us for a panel talk on church planting ethics. It was a great discussion on principles needed to transition well as you move from your current position into the role of a church planter. These principles are your guiding light of honor, integrity, and keeping a Kingdom perspective during an essential season in your life and ministry. Burning bridges and building walls is not the best way to transition into church planting. We want to widen the roads of relationship and remove barriers that would keep someone else from seeing your church plant as a win for the Kingdom of God.
While our main focus is to equip these leaders as they pursue the dreams God has given them, our ARC Launch events aren’t all work and no play. At this month’s event, we hosted a food truck after party as a way to grab a treat after a day full of learning! It was a great time for everyone to get to know each other, chat with our staff and coaches, and connect with our resource partners.
We pack a lot into these 2-day training events, discussing topics from weekend experience to funding, outreach to church government. Whether it be starting the ARC launch application, or implementing newly learned strategies into their current role, our hope is that everyone leaves feeling equipped to move forward with their best next step.
