What has been one of the most defining ministry moments in your life?
The most defining ministry moment for me was meeting my pastor, Corey Williams, of Hope City Church in Savannah, GA. Shortly after the launch of his church, he invited me to attend the ARC Conference. He saw pastor potential in me and want to show me “the why behind the what.” Everything changed for me after attending my first ARC Conference. I saw and experienced ministry in a way that I had only dreamed of before. If it were not for God placing Pastor Corey and ARC in my life, I would not be telling this story. I’m forever grateful to God, my pastor, and my ARC family.
What is your church known for in your community?
Although we’re still quite new, we are already known as the church that loves. We are serving and loving our community in places where churches have never been present.
Choose one word to describe the story of your life or your church. Why?
Unfailing. My family has endured multiple tragedies over the past few years. Tragedies so painful that at times I wanted to give up. Even through the hardships of medical scares and the loss of a child, by God’s grace, we have not failed. We serve a God who is unfailing and has strengthened us to survive the worst of the worst.
Is there anything else you want to share with us about your journey in ministry or where your church is today?
We love our city! Our journey to Sacramento was not easy, but we’re here to speak life through the language of love and let God do the rest.
Join us for ARC Conference this October, as we celebrate the stories that have made the past 20 years of ARC so special, and look forward to the many more yet to be told. Visit arcconference.com to register.
