What has been one of the most defining ministry moments in your life?
For me, it was the day we packed all of our belongings to move to a brand new city with only what we felt to be a call from God. That moment was significant because everything we believed, prayed for, and sacrificed for became real. It was a sink or swim moment.
What is your church known for in your community?
Our church is known for what we give and not what we take. We want something for our community and nothing from it. People often comment about how we are always giving and loving on the people around us. The love of our church has made the love of Christ attractive to people.
Choose one word to describe the story of your life or your church. Why?
Purpose. Since I was a child, I realized that my life was an assignment. I have a temporary slot of time to make a difference in the lives of others. I’ve always prayed for God to use me in any capacity to impact those around me for Him. We started our church to help people discover what it means to live life on purpose.
Is there anything else you want to share with us about your journey in ministry or where your church is today?
Planting a church or pastoring has never been my dream. Being used by God has always been my dream. He chose to use me in this way. ARC has been an incredible resource and investment to enable people who are living their calling. I’m thankful for ARC making it possible for people just like me to do what God has called them to do. We are all on the same team building the same church.
